Camden’s ceremonial centre was at the Town Hall on Judd Street for 80 years, but since August 2018, building construction has been underway to revive its original civic architecture. The borough of Camden look forward to unveiling the opulent refurbished Register Office, but for the time being, civil ceremonies will be carried out at alternative sites.
The Crowndale Centre at 218 Eversholt Street is a temporary replacement to Camden Register Office, as well as the charming Tavistock House in Bloomsbury. This historic building is adjacent to The British Medical Museum, and was once the family home of celebrated author, Charles Dickens. Tavistock House has three neutral licensed ceremony spaces that are adapted for different capacities (8 to 70 guests) and affordability. Its location also has the bonus of an outdoor space, as the BMA garden can be hired for £50 in conjunction with your ceremony.
