Settled in London’s attractive southwest borough, Richmond Upon Thames Register Office is spread across two historic houses on the banks of the River Thames. Richmond is 10 miles south west of central London, so it’s easy for guests to arrive swiftly via Twickenham Railway station or Hounslow underground. There is also a handy on-site car park available.
The first of the ceremony venues at Richmond Upon Thames Register Office is York House, a 17th Century Grade II listed building with a few licensed spaces to choose from to create your special moment. Inside, the primary ceremony rooms are The Loggia Room, The Terrace and The Salon, which can host between 60 to 75 guests. They are all located on the ground floor with disabled access, and the pleasant secluded gardens are perfect for post-ceremony photographs. Other rooms in the building can also be used for your reception if desired, ranging in capacity from 60 to 200 seated guests.
The second venue owned by Richmond Upon Thames Register Office is the Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham. Its stunning Octagon Room boasts Baroque architecture, a domed ceiling and arched Georgian windows. The space can accommodate 60 ceremony and reception guests. It’s an intimate yet ornate room surrounded by a scenic woodland landscape. Find our recommended collection of other ceremony and reception venues in Richmond Upon Thames below.
